The Guy with the AC

The guy with the AC,
He’s much too cool for me.
No a boy but a man in every way that he can be.
He has his life all put together, all planned out so splendidly.
I just wish that in his plans there would be room for me.
His view of the world is so much different than I am used to.
He seeks understanding of things that for him are of value.
I try to understand his way of life, how he sees things, why he sees them?
That way if I can grasp his way of thinking maybe he’ll want me then.
But I know deep down that our destiny is not to be together.
It’s to learn from each other now so we can both be better.
I have more to learn from this guy with the AC,
Whether, through friendship or heartbreak that’s what’s left to see.
I enjoy sharing his bed on a pillow that once rested his head.
I’d much rather share his heart, that’s much better than being apart.
The guy with the AC, Yeah he’s much too cool for me.
